Join a group of passionate community members

The Chebeague and Cumberland Land Trust was created by community members passionate about the outdoors. Our ongoing successes would not be possible without the efforts of dedicated volunteers. We are always looking for new energy and ideas to help strengthen conservation and stewardship in our communities. If you have some time and energy to spare, or skills that you think might be useful to the land trust, please consider volunteering. See below for some examples of ways in which volunteers can a difference.

After you fill out the form at the link below telling us about your availability and interests, we will contact you when we have an opportunity that matches your interests. Thank you for offering to make a difference in your community!

Become a Property Steward

Join the dozens of volunteers who help monitor and maintain CCLT’s conserved lands. If there is a property near to your home or dear to your heart, let us know!

Participate in a Work Day

CCLT regularly gathers groups of volunteers for trail building and maintenance, debris clean up, invasive species removal, and other stewardship tasks in spring, summer, and fall. Volunteers who express an interest in trail work days will be notified about upcoming opportunities.

Join a Committee
or the board

Committee work is a great way to contribute your special skills and interests to the work of the land trust. CCLT has several committees focused on a range of topics including stewardship, membership, event planning, marketing, and fundraising.  If you’d like to explore committee or board opportunities, or volunteer your skills for a special project, please indicate that on the form.
