Once a property is conserved with a land trust, the responsibility for stewardship of that property extends forever. The type and intensity of our stewardship work varies from property to property, but generally it encompasses:

  • Routine monitoring to identify concerns or problems

  • Working with landowners to ensure compliance with conservation easements

  • Construction and maintenance of trails

  • Visitor education

  • Invasive plant control

  • Annual reporting

  • Outings and community events

CCLT’s stewardship program runs on volunteer power, and we are always looking for more help with trail maintenance, property monitoring, and other volunteer activities.
