Position summary

 
 

Duties include (but are not limited to)

The Membership & Outreach Coordinator will work to support CCLT’s membership and engagement programs in our communities. This position requires the employee to perform a wide variety of tasks independently and collaborate with a small team. The Membership & Outreach Coordinator must be well-organized, attentive to detail, able to communicate clearly and consistently, and excel at developing positive working relationships with members, volunteers, and other local stakeholders. Some remote work is possible, days/hours are flexible, and attendance at weekend events and evening meetings is occasionally necessary.

  • Preparing two print appeals per year in coordination with a graphic designer

  • Building new member and business sponsorship programs

  • Working with the Administrative Coordinator to generate donation reports

  • Planning and attending events in coordination with staff, committees, partners, and vendors

  • Creating quarterly e-newsletters and monthly event e-bulletins

  • Developing and managing social media content

  • Editing and maintaining the website

  • Updating existing, and creating new, outreach materials

  • Drafting press releases

  • Improving property signage and online property pages to enhance visitor experiences at our properties

  • Fielding inquiries from members and the public

  • Participating in the board’s Membership & Outreach Committee and taking minutes at monthly board meetings

Essential skills, knowledge, & abilities

  • Have excellent organizational skills and are able to prioritize and manage multiple projects

  • Have some experience in and enjoy communications work and event planning

  • Are comfortable using—or can quickly learn to use—digital platforms, such as Mailchimp, Squarespace, Canva, and donor software Little Green Light

  • Like to be part of a collaborative team, but can also complete tasks independently

  • Are creative and would enjoy thinking of new ways to increase the organization’s membership base and donations

  • Are detail-oriented and take pride in error-free work

  • Are willing to work occasional evenings and weekends, and take on work outside of the immediate job description
